Role Description

In this role, you will be responsible for the complete design, coordination, and implementation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. You will work on high-profile projects with international standards and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of engineering delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and coordinate MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) for Grade-A commercial and residential buildings.
- Prepare detailed layouts and construction drawings in AutoCAD.
- Perform load calculations for HVAC, Electrical, Water supply, and Drainage systems using industry-standard methodologies.
- Select and size equipment such as chillers, pumps, transformers, and panels based on project requirements.
- Conduct detailed clash detection and resolve conflicts in BIM models to ensure seamless integration of all services.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and project managers to develop coordinated building designs.
- Ensure designs comply with local building codes, international standards, and ASHRAE, NFPA, IS codes, and NBC guidelines.
- Generate MEP design documentation, including drawings, schematics, BOQs, and technical reports.
- Coordinate with site execution teams to provide engineering support during construction and resolve technical issues.
- Regularly interact with clients to understand requirements, present design solutions, and incorporate feedback.
- Review and update models throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design intent.
- Support in tendering activities, technical bid evaluation, and vendor coordination.
- Conduct feasibility studies, value engineering, and design optimizations to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Building Services Engineering.
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in MEP design and coordination for Grade-A commercial and residential buildings.
- Proficiency in Revit (BIM), AutoCAD, and familiarity with MEP modeling workflows.
- Strong understanding of HVAC design, electrical power systems, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver within deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Intergraph Smart® 3D or other advanced CAD/BIM software.
- Exposure to international building codes and projects involving US/UK/ME standards.
- Prior experience with Dynamo scripting for automation in BIM will be an added advantage.
Working Model
This is a full-time on-site role at our Pune office.
