Role Description
Genesis Tech Engineers is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Junior BIM Modelers to join our engineering team in Pune. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to build a career in BIM, 3D modeling, and engineering design, with exposure to projects supporting semiconductor manufacturing facilities and other complex industrial infrastructure.
The selected candidate will work closely with experienced engineers and BIM professionals and will have the opportunity to collaborate with our clients and project teams in the United States.

Responsibilities
- Create and modify 2D and 3D models using Revit and AutoCAD under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist in developing BIM models for equipment, mechanical systems, and facility infrastructure.
- Assist project teams in developing and updating building and equipment layout plans.
- Support equipment space planning and placement within factory and building layouts.
- Prepare accurate 2D drawings and 3D models based on project requirements and engineering specifications.
- Assist in integrating mechanical, electrical, structural, and other engineering elements into BIM models.
- Update existing drawings and models based on design changes and client requirements.
- Maintain Revit models throughout the project lifecycle and ensure drawings are properly coordinated.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and support senior team members with model-related requirements.
- Perform basic quality checks on drawings and BIM models to identify discrepancies and modeling issues.
- Assist in preparing engineering documentation, drawings, schedules, and other project deliverables.
- Follow applicable project standards, company procedures, and relevant US engineering/BIM guidelines.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to complete assigned tasks within project timelines.
- Learn and apply new BIM tools, workflows, and automation techniques as required.
- Support senior BIM Modelers and engineers in resolving modeling and coordination issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Basic knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and 2D/3D modeling concepts.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, structural, civil, electrical, or architectural systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good English communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment.
- Ability to manage assigned tasks and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or academic/project experience involving Revit, AutoCAD, BIM, or 3D modeling.
- Basic knowledge of Revit MEP, Revit Architecture, or Revit Structure.
- Familiarity with Intergraph Smart 3D / SmartPlant 3D is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of BIM standards and workflows.
- Exposure to Dynamo or BIM automation tools is an added advantage.
