Role Description
Genesis Tech Engineers is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MEP BIM Modeler to join our engineering team in Pune. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed BIM models for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systemsassociated with semiconductor manufacturing facilities, industrial facilities, and complex infrastructure projects.
This role offers an opportunity to work on challenging engineering projects and collaborate with experienced engineers, BIM professionals, project managers, and clients in the United States.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate MEP BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD based on project requirements and engineering specifications.
- Create detailed 3D models for HVAC, piping, plumbing, electrical, and other MEP systems.
- Develop layouts, plans, sections, elevations, and details for MEP systems.
- Coordinate MEP systems with architectural, structural, civil, and other engineering disciplines.
- Assist in equipment placement and space planning within buildings and industrial facilities.
- Model mechanical equipment, ductwork, piping systems, cable trays, electrical equipment, and associated components.
- Ensure proper routing and spatial coordination of MEP systems within the BIM environment.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements before developing models.
- Update and modify BIM models based on engineering changes and client requirements.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and assist in identifying and resolving clashes and coordination issues.
- Perform quality checks on BIM models and drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards.
- Prepare drawings, schedules, model views, and other BIM deliverables as required.
- Maintain Revit models throughout the project lifecycle and ensure that changes are accurately incorporated.
- Collaborate with engineers, BIM coordinators, project managers, and other project team members to deliver projects within schedule.
- Support senior BIM engineers/modelers in resolving technical and modeling-related issues.
- Follow applicable BIM standards, project procedures, and relevant US engineering and construction standards.
- Assist in improving BIM workflows and modeling efficiency through standardization and automation.
- Knowledge of Dynamo or other BIM automation tools will be an added advantage.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Architecture, or a related engineering discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in MEP BIM modeling using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
- Basic understanding of MEP systems, engineering drawings, and construction documentation.
- Knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing, electrical systems, or mechanical equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate BIM models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, data center, or other complex infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of Revit MEP families, templates, schedules, and worksharing.
- Experience with MEP coordination and clash detection.
- Knowledge of Navisworks is an advantage.
- Experience with Intergraph Smart 3D / SmartPlant 3D is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Dynamo or other BIM automation tools is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with US engineering, construction, and BIM standards is preferred.
